Internal Medicine Specialists offers a unique private practice environment.  We are a multispecialty group that provides care in 4 specialty areas, as well as a large primary care base.  We provide hospitalist services for a number of community practitioners.  We perform Internal Medicine and Specialty services to several of the local long-term acute-care and rehabilitation hospitals.

We are a wholly physician-owned independent organization whose roots are more than 60 years old.  Importantly, for potential physicians and physician extenders, we offer the benefits of having an employed relationship with our organization with opportunities for partnership.  Partnership opportunities include shared revenues from ancillary services; including radiology, ultrasound, bone densitometry, pulmonary fuction studies, and a full clinical laboratory, as well as clinical research.  Additionally, partners may also join in our real estate holdings, which include office space in our medical office building.

Our group seeks individuals who wish to develop the very best of solo practice in a group setting.  We carefully construct our policies, procedures, and group dynamics such that each individual physician may develop his/her personal style of practice.  Our goal is to provide the very best possible care for patients in an individualized manner.

Our physicians engage in ongoing long-term strategic planning.  We focus on implementation of long-term strategies for developing novel services and maintaining corporate strength.  Each of our providers has input into the operational decision-making in the office.

We employ a full-time administrative and billing staff, as well as consulting with healthcare specialty accounting, retirement and legal advisors.  We are in the process of implementing a modern practice management software package with a web-enabled electronic medical records system.

We are seeking physicians who wish to develop personalized practice styles, but also enjoy the benefits a medium-sized multispecialty group can offer.  Our partnership level benefit structure includes provisions for death and disability, as well as maximizing deferred income into a qualified retirement plan.  Our retirement benefit includes a structured buy-out of the retiree's medical practice and real estate holdings on a market basis.

We are currently recruiting highly motivated individuals into the fields of Pulmonary/Critical Care Medicine and Sleep Disorders, Endocrinology and Metabolic Disorders, Infectious Diseases, Geriatric and Long-Term Care, Office and Hospital Based Primary Care.  We are also recruiting talented Nurse Practitioners and Physician Extenders for improved access and assistance in the hospital, office, long-term care, and nursing settings.
